Description
This course is meant to give the students a broad overview of the different skills and tools that can be used in the digital humanities. The aim is to make the students familiar with the range of possibilities and diversity of digital humanities, and to provide them with some practical skills. The topics that are covered in this course are: file systems and shell, file manipulation, searching in text (regular expressions), simple textual data manipulation, basic procedural programming in Python, and XML markup processing.
